Blueberries that is. The spring temp and rains were perfect for growing the ultra-sweet wild blueberries. Wife and I went to our favorite spot in the woods just to check and see if there was any, and we were blown away. We could only pick for about an hour each day as it was on the hot side, and we are on the older side which means bending over for an hour trashes your lower back.:oldguy::rofl2: We plan on at least one more trip to add to what we have now. As of today, we have 10 cups, or 2 1/2 qts. Gonna spread them on a cookie sheet, freeze them and put them in 1 cup portions in vacuum seal bags for the freezer. They will be VERY good about January or February in muffins or pancakes.😜😜 Blu Berr.jpg

It was an excellent year for black raspberries as well. I grow a few in my back yard and I have a spot in town where I pick. And boy I was blown away at the amount I harvested. I usually make jam but I have quite a bit of that left from last year. So I'm making mini pies and just freezing the rest.
