Gold

I can tell you it’s not man made or glass. There are flaws and sharriations visible.
Oh, I don't doubt that it might be some type of good stone - especially in that 18K. I'm just wondering if other stones that aren't diamonds or sapphires make those tester indicators go up a bit. I don't think I've ever tested on anything that wasn't a diamond or suspected diamond or one of my watch crystals.

Sure is pretty...maybe its a pale yellow Montana sapphire. Like others said I doubt its a "low quality" stone in 18k. Congrats...keep us posted on what it is.

Thanks everyone. I’m”Curious George” now this one may get looked at by a jeweler. Glad the young guys leave us old guys a few of these….. but then maybe the point is … heart stopper 😂

Heck of a find Dew! 18k .. has to be a quality stone...

Definitely get it checked out. Reminds me of this 18k Morganite I found a couple years ago. Didn't even know what a Morganite was until my jeweler told me. Approximately 12 carats , about $4k. I flipped for a quick $1k. Gotta be something decent set in 18k. GL... 20220525_130424.jpg20220525_130402.jpg

Fantastic find Dew! That stone has me mesmerized. Let us know if you have it appraised. Citrine has a specific gravity of 2.65 if that helps, same as quartz.

UPDATE..... for those who wanted to know. The Jeweler said it definitely tested 18k+. It was custom made for the stone. He said the stone was around 1 3/4 to 2CT .....drum roll... it is a yellow Sapphire that was Emerald cut. He said he really couldnt give me a guess on value without doing an appraisal because they would have to evaluate the stone more.

:wow: That ring is going to be worth a few bucks! :gettinmoney: Maybe you can afford a new Deus 2 now?

As a card carrying Pirate.... i highly doubt it will be going anywhere except my treasure chest. Deus...... nothing has moved me in that direction yet. Im getting my token few golds im ok with that..... and when i get a couple of these a year.... thats a good year.

That is EPIC ! Highly recommend getting the appraisal. Mine is $75 and they are GIA certified , etc. All in writing. Totally worth it.

KOB… I’ve kind of accumulated a few now that honestly I need to have appraised. It’s not the cost but more why? Not sure what will happen to my stash when I head N or S I don’t really think family really wants it and don’t have the same passion I do for it

Young guys move to fast... we are slow and methodical....

Well , you learn more about it. And with an appraisal you can get a much higher price than without when sold. Family doesn't care , great. Blow the cash on something else you want now.
