First Day of 30 day adventure

I enjoyed the second video ! HA HA I know what you mean about a totlot looking good but not having anything! I checked one today on the way to work. I had hit it twice and got good coinage, but this time, only 1 mem!

I reckon no one has been in it since I last vacuumed it!

Here is another suggestion...at the first of the video...lay out ahead of time all the tools you plan on taking and then tape them explaining why you think they will be useful for that day...type of hunts you want to do that day and plans of types of places to visit. It will make the video more interesting rather than just bouncing around with the camera telling us that you are looking for items to take that will be useful.

Don't take offense at my suggestions. I applaude your efforts and hunts and want you to get better and better at the vids...that's why I make my suggestions. I actually enjoyed getting to see a shot from a distance of that totlot....reminded me of many I have hunted here in central Arkansas! Yep, if you did not get much from it, someone was obviously there within the past couple of weeks if not days...because those things...with good weather...are self renewing!

I now understand your situation with the camera set up and lack of ability to focus up close, so just tell us what it is as soon as you dig it and id it..we don't need to see it then since you are putting a good quality still of the days finds at the end of the video. OH and if you find a real goodie like silver or a ring...be sure to image it separately at the end so we can get a real good look at it! Whatever is the prize find of the day needs that treatment...even if its just a hot wheels car!
Ok great suggestions! I can't believe that Tot Lot was hit, I wandered off into the grass a little bit and got tons of beaver pull tabs, they were all only 2 inches down so there could possibly be some older stuff in the field? IDK but I'm not going back there for a while.

Great tot lot. "yea it sucked" famous last words..Good simple direct and to the point vids. Like the grass scene again!.. Nice solid tones... One of them will not suck! HA. The hail was cool. Shows how the weather does affect MD'ing. Good Job. Be careful while driving and doing video! Some one mentioned earlier to do brief narrative before you drive to get in all your facts and goals. I would skip the driving of the vid and do a brief narrative when ever you get to the car and change goals as needed. Just one less thing to skip. Seems like a lot of details to do a video. Good Job. Looks like you are enjoying it which is cool!

Ice fish scoop...
I have a hand scoop coming in the mail. Should be water hunting by next week. As long as you find enough money for batteries and a Honey Bun you can survive until you hit the next jewelry. :D

That or you could go to your local park and look under trees, some times people leave dinners under them (true story)....

Ride down the road

The video was good but the ride down the road was long. I was in Duluth MN, way back in 1968..is Chaska where the BIG Paul Bunyan stands? (get a Picture) I also remember Tackonite?? spelling bad. Anyway keep shooting..day 30 may be an Oscar performance.

Paul Bunyan doesn't stand here, its up north. Paul Bunyan land was kind of torn down I think and moved to a different location.

Nice hunt and video today..Thanks!!!

I have found 4 of those boy scout slides, but I think mine are cub scout slides..little different

Great 3rd video! I don't think I could turn them out nearly as fast as you do. Today's hunt I really want to post the vid. But haven't had time to edit. :goodjob:

Ya did good, again! and this video was better than the other two technically, shorter ride, good explanation of area, why you changed your mind, changing weather conditions and I noticed some of the play ground equipment is exactly the same as here. If you find something that looks like 1/2 a geodesic dome, crawl into that sucker and hunt it out! I got over $2.00 out from inside one the last one I found! The little monkeys like to hang upside down from the top into it and plop out goes all their lunch money!:lol:

Also if you can find any horizontal monkey bars those are great sites for major pocket spills. But don't just abandon the inter equipment areas..the spaces between the equipment..I found a 3 quarter pocket spill in an area of 6 inches the last large totlot I hunted! There is also a piece of equipment that looks like a big gentle ladder that is bent into a U shape...about 20 feet long...I found an 86 cent pocket spill under it on one end and a 52 cent spill on the other end! when the kids start to climb up one end and climb to the other end on top, they come down it upside down!

I really enjoyed this 3rd video! I think you must be starting each video in your basement...I noticed the bare unpainted concrete block walls and the high window!

And surprize surprize, I also found a wolf scarf slide today! I have two now, a cub and a wolf! Cleaned up really nice!

Great tips, I'm really starting to like these tot lots a lot. And actually I have started every single video in my garage so far. I might change it up a little bit but so far I like the flow of them. My garage walls are unpainted but they are sheetrocked. We are looking at doing the floor and painting the walls whenever my parents get the time. I know where I'm going tomorrow, its a park that I have hit before, I talked about it a little in the video. I actually went there tonight with my mom because we were washing clothes at this place because they were to big for our washer but anyways I only found 2 dimes and 3 pennies but I was only there for like 20 minutes. Hopefully I can pull a lot of good stuff tomorrow.

I will try and make a good video tomorrow but its supposed to rain so I'm not sure how much filming I will be able to do. Hopefully quite a bit.
