Hahaha maybe thatās what I should do with itCool find! Growing up, my dad had one. A replica, he used as a paper weight.
Oh yea it does seem to show some differenceā¦ Thereās a chance I found a slightly different model or maybe a replica.what a cool find, but it seems off a bit. The forward part of the receiver is not quite right. I may be wrong... View attachment 604117View attachment 604116
give it a couple of good rounds of electrolysis and coat it with a light layer of wax or oil and you should have a very unique and authentic paperweight.Hahaha maybe thatās what I should do with it
I tend to agree......too much is just not right.what a cool find, but it seems off a bit. The forward part of the receiver is not quite right. I may be wrong... View attachment 604117View attachment 604116View attachment 604116
Well now iām confused because after doing more research I still canāt find a blueprint or picture that resembles my find. But it canāt be a toy or display because it had all of th firing components still inside with and ID number and th word āLugerā written in fancy lettering on th sideI tend to agree......too much is just not right.
I suspect that it's a replica, toy, or some other sort of novelty piece.
"size is the bore?"If the Luger name is fancy, I would suspect it's a more recent one. What side is the bore? They made .22 Lugers in the 1970s.
Correct, it's a Stoeger-made Luger 22. Looks to be a pre-1980 aluminum frame. If the Luger name is fancy, I would suspect it's a more recent one. What side is the bore? They made .22 Lugers in the 1970s.
I looked it up and it appears youāre right! this makes a lot more sense considering th weapon is in decent condition compared what it wouldāve looked like if it was put there during WW2. Most of th online results show th weapon being black, so I suspect th paint must have been scratched off while in th ground to show th silver frame.Correct, it's a Stoeger-made Luger 22. Looks to be a pre-1980 aluminum frame.
I believe your correct on this one because along with th fancy ālugerā writing, it does have a ā.22ā written about an centimeter behind th barrelIf the Luger name is fancy, I would suspect it's a more recent one. What side is the bore? They made .22 Lugers in the 1970s.
