.......it would be neat if there was a claw machine that had nothing but prizes for detectorists !

Neat, my wife and I have a dog also, a Border Collie mix (likely mixed with a Beagle) we adopted her from an SPCA shelter when she was about 8 weeks old, she's an indoor dog (prefers having me with her when going outside ) and we consider her as one of the family, and she thinks so too !

My dog would love to go on detecting hunts with me and I would not mind taking her, but she likely would bark non-stop at every person who came with 50 yards which makes her very good as a watchdog for the semi-rural area our home is, but not good to have all that barking while detecting in public

With a dog the size of coinboy's you wouldn't have to worry about anyone slipping up on you.

My first plugs were a lot rougher than they needed to be back then , when i had no idea what i was doing.
