Explain your Username

Douglas Adams fan. Taken from the footnotes in HHGTTG...

“Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is."
(Sass: know, be aware of, meet, have sex with; hoopy: really together guy; frood: really amazingly together guy.)”

Oddly enough I do carry a towel (or 2) with me when detecting... Usually just a small shop towel though.
Mainly posting this here because everyone's life would benefit from reading the HHGTTG trilogy (all 6
books of it).

I hunted pretty much all my life, Started when I was 12 for small game, then 14 for big game. I hunted all over America. I stopped hunting about 6 years ago. So people started calling me hunter.

S
Mine was made up by me in 1999 and since then used several times over, stolen by a games card manufacturer and miss spelt to avoid me suing them and an artist who thinks he can still use it and forget he stole it.

It was basically to say a thing that changes its shape in a dark and menecing manner....something to be weary of but also something to be admired.

Also sounds good for a dark cartoon or comic hero:yes:
Sounds like my first ex.lol

Thought this would be interesting for everyone on the forum. Explain what your username or avatar means. My username, Trickworm, is my favorite plastic worm.

Most Folks think Flipper, the Dolphin in the TV show………The true story…….
My Dad was a Hard Hat Diver in the Navy in WWII. When I was a little kid he gave me his dive knife and I was hooked.. had all the gear, mask, snorkel, flippers later in life evolved into Scuba.
The great part is my last name is Finn! Guys at the dive shop loved it, picked up the nickname Flipper. To this day I think some people don’t even know my real name, lol.

Name? Because I love sharing my most prolific find with my friends!! Avatar? Love relics and it's my bestie so far.

Very cool!

Elbie. My initials (LB) pronounced.
My initials pronounced are Emptee (MT), that's also how I feel inside 😅

My username speaks truth. Listening for those faint non ferrous one way signals right on the edge of detection. It's fun to "fix" the signal and see a honker pop out.

When personal computers became a thing, I was working away from home, I came home for Christmas with a 286 for the family.
While I was away my wife and kids set me up an account and username. since I was driving a Ford Ranger, I got Dangerranger and it has been the same since. DR

I never dig one way signals. Have you had decent luck doing that?? I’m always looking for ways to improve!
