Include a steel penny and a magnet, most kids should find it really neat to have a coin that is attracted to a magnet !

(if the kid is really young make sure the magnet is too big to be swallowed accidently by kids who are in the habit of swallowing stuff, swallowing magnets can be serious)

I agree, find a LCS.
I avoid ePay like the plague when it comes to coins.

Its pretty good for inexpensive coins.

I bought a 1919 Mercury dime on eBay for $2.75 including shipping. I wanted something 100 years old. And in good enough shape to be able to read the date, but not much more.

The coin arrived on time and exactly as expected.

However, I would not use eBay for expensive coins.
