A little over two hours of hunting this PM started out fine with a westerly breeze, but an hour or so into the water hunt and I noticed the wind increase and start blowing out of the south east creating just enough swell and waves to cause me stability problems!

Just before things turned sour I dug a faint signal that I have learned to investigate for the possibility of gold and this pair dropped into my sifter!

The coin is etched so thin it can be bent between my fingers and the tiny cross is the smallest I have ever found! (Notice the mineral/oxide still clinging to the bottom edge of the coin.)

The cross on the left is an inch high for comparison.

Look closely and you can just make out Lincoln's outline!

I likes gold even tiny gold!!

Yep, tiny gold is good! That penny sure has seen better days. You must have a scoop with very small holes to not loose that cross. Good job! Good Luck on future hunts. : )

Picture Quality!

Holding the penny and the small cross in different lighting didn't reveal an image on either piece, but look closely and you can see Christ on the cross and Abe on the coin in the picture!

Good job CJ... I'm hoping that next week I can get out at least 1 day...

Many Thanks For Your Kind Replies Friends!!

Slim pickins in my neighorhood these days!

Fresh drops. (Very few!), Old 'n deep! (There, but not easy!)

I likes my Dual Field! Without it I wouldn't be having nearly as much fun!
