Dirt Fishing Adventures has a hunt coming up April 12, in Rehoboth, MA.

9a - 4p

The property is c 1800 with over 100 acres available for the hunt; 80+ acres of corn fields and 20 or so of woods.

There is a max of 100 treasure hunters. $90 adults, $30 kids tickets. They always sell out.

The hunt includes a free raffle (usually t-shirts, a high end detector, other stuff), port a potty, seeded area and often a Youtube channel or two you'll recognize such as Green Mountain Detecting, Quarter Hoarder, Stefdigs, etc.

Not virgin; It's nearly impossible to find 100+ acres in New England that hasn't been touched. Owner told me there is a guy who detects it, but the property is HUGE, we'll be on about 120 acres of the property.

There will be a two-day event in the fall, could be worth the trip. We've had people from as far away as Florida and Minnesota come to New England for our Dirt Fishing Adventures...bring the wife, see New England in the fall!

It's actually more like 120 or so acres, and we sure could put more people on it....but parking 100+ cars is the biggest challenge. There has to be someplace to put them.

Part of the business model is "smaller" hunts, capped at 100.

The only time DFA has crossed 100 diggers was on a 300 acre property with a 1.5 mile private, dirt road to park cars on.

The 100 max keeps the crowd manageable and allows for more of a community feeling, we can talk to most participants individually, get pics of their finds, etc.

Hated to miss out on this one, but I really dodged a bullet! Weather is horrific today. It's 36 degrees with a coating of snow on the ground! Good luck guys! Anyone who finds something good today deserves it!

I wanted to go to but missed out. It’s my birthday and to celebrate I spent my birthday in the hospital. I don’t think it’s really bad but it’s taken all afternoon. And yes we had maybe an inch of snow on the ground and raining. My son got four or five inches of snow then rain.

Thanks they don’t know what it is. They do think it’s going to pass. Just trouble breathing, and my blood oxygen was real low. As well as energy. Don’t worry it has not affected my good looks
