I got a call from my neighbor yesterday. He said, “Well hunting season is over. Do you want to go digging tomorrow?” He has access to some very good sites connected to the Battle of Chancellorsville. We had a pretty good day. I was lucky enough to get a decent haul of lead. Some 3 ringers, a Sharps carbine and some pistol bullets. The one fired bullet is interesting to me. It is the first fired Swage bullet I have dug. Another friend with us dug another 7 bullets, one of which was a confederate 2 ringer. I wish I had gotten a picture of it but my friend was in a hurry to get home—-he did have an hour and a half drive. Oh well.... Anyway we had a decent day of digging, especially considering it is January.
