Deus V4 issues coming to light UPDATE

Apparently xp released an update this morning.

TN let me know if it fixes your issues.

Download off of Euro site a success.

Have updated both of my remotes,,all coils and headphones.
Cursory inspection,,shows the problems noted have been fixed.

But I am not saying there couldn't be any other bugs.

I just finished trying again. I just ran the old installer and it updated no problem. All glitches fixed. I also went ahead and re-updated my working machine. My reasoning is a glitch or error in code was fixed so it stood to reason that the working machine should be updated again as well.

Just getting home from VA, sorry to see guys having issues but also glad to see some solutions being put out there.
Going to give both my units a good cleaning tomorrow to get the blackjack off them and then a good charge and if I am feeling real ballsy I may do an update on one of them.

Used my v4 extensively on Sunday and other than the hot programme discrimination issue mine worked well. Like the XY screen a lot. (I didn't load the beta before.)

Folks who haven't update with V4 and have full Deus unit setups along with Deus lite setups,,or folks who have multiple headphone modules....

Heed,,,disregard when updating when asked if you have another headphone module,,,update only one here.

Then if you wish,,using your other remote or even the same remote,,after turning Off the first headphone module you updated,,,,proceed to do another update with V4 to your remote and update this others module,,,and if you have another module,,,,again repeat this process..
Failing to follow these instructions may lead to big problems with at least some of your headphone modules.
I bear no reaponsibility here one way or the other just passing this info along as help to folks.
See this thread.

If I understand correctly wouldn't this overwrite the first set of headphones by updating the remote again? ....or do you mean after the first set of headphones have updated....turn them off then continue (on the same update) to update the second set of headphones?

Here is the problem I think.
If following the instructions when it asked if you have another pair of headphones,,,there is no prompt telling you to turn off the first pair that were upgraded,,,,and when you turn on this second pair and proceed--- this is when you experience it seems locked up headphones.

So what I said orifinally in the post above,,,,just update one set of headphones,,select no you don't have another set.
Update is finished. Turn off updated headphones.
The just do another update using same remote or another,,and get your other headphone remote and turn on when directed,,,and all will be fine.
Will be taking fewer chances here of a meltdown.

I would hate to have to send my components off to any place to due a problem created with update.

Funny thing is Mr Sabisch tells folks it seems about this in is bootcamp,,,but why hasn't Xp fixed the program( adding a prompt to turn off headphones that are already updated),,and also placed a warning in the operators manual.
Makes too much sense I guess.
Or have a way to override the headphones to be able to save face,,instead of sending them for the undoing.

Update

I charged all my units today (March 22nd) and then downloaded what was said to be the latest available V4 update to my PC. I then was able to update both my remotes, 3 coils and 2 headphones. I was able to cross connect all coils, remotes and headphones with no issues.
I will spend tomorrow re installing my lost programs and hopefully get out in the field with it this weekend.

From this end the V4 install was painless and went well as I followed the prompts precisely.

Couldn't wait could ya? :)

I'm dying to get out this weekend.

Ha ha I bet you were. "Contrast...check", "Expert menus...check", "coil switch...check" Woohoo!

Only because that's EXACTLY what would be going through my mind! Lol

Anyone else notice an added icon lower left while charging?

As a hobbyist programmer and can say this type of issue is not surprising. You can try and simulate all the possibilities but there will always seem to be the missed bug no matter how hard you try.
