Greetings Compadre Fans !
I was re-reading one of my back-issues of W&E Treasures recently, i.e. August 2008, Volume 42 , the article starting on page 27 authored by Contributing Editor Dick Stout. This was about the famous metal detectorists Eleanor Hube and her husband Jack , who were treasure hunters and co-owners of J & E Enterprises (Jack passed away in 1995 and I have no current information on Eleanor or their business.).
The article was well written and includes lots of good pictures, but one thing said that added to my esteem for the Compadre was Eleanor's statement during a Q&A session with Dick when he asked her what metal detectors she was using and she answered that it depends on the situation, e.g. if looking for small gold items she uses the Tesoro Compadre ! IMO, that's a great endorsement !
