The 1963 Canadian nickel is 99.9% nickel. No iron in it. Pure nickel is magnetic also. Same with the 1973 quarter 99.9% nickel. NO iron.

Yes BUT there is not enough nickel in our American nickels to make them magnetic, They are only 25% nickel and 75% copper execpt for the war nickels. Our war nickels 1942 - 1945 are 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese.
