BUT WAIT!!!​

There is more!! In talking to Gary with him being landlocked he does not need a scoop! He would like an Equinox 800. So here is the deal I am going to offer first to the second winner and then to anyone else that played in the contest BEFORE I offer it to anyone else.

I am wiling to sell the scoop for the price to upgrade the Nox. INCLUDING shipping. I bought this scoop before Chuck sold his business. I didn't buy the 790, I bought the 990 WITH the carbon fiber handle.

So for roughly 200.00 you can get the last Stealth 990I that Sunspot had in their building. That is about half the price!

IF you joined the contest and you would like to be considered for this offer, please contact me this weekend. Prizes will be going out Monday if all goes well.

I do have a DR. appointment in Detroit with the VA and will be there overnight so it is possible I MIGHT have to wait till Wednesday but I am hoping to find time to call Owl Engineering and Meyers Detectors to get the ball rolling.

If nobody that played the contest contacts me by Sunday evening, I will offer the scoop to anyone on Friendly that is interested.

My contest days are over. After two detectors, three scoops, pinpointers, and a few other things it is time for me to move on. Unfortunately the contests didn't bring what I was hoping to the forum.

It was fun and I am glad I played a small part in some folks lives but as we all know, life is short and sometimes moving on is best.

I want to thank all that played and enjoyed the contests that I had. I have never been one to hoard my good fortune to be alive and on this earth. I enjoy who I am and how I treat others. Some fols think I am lucky with what I find and how this hobby has evolved for me. I don't think it is luck at all. In order to receive you have to give.

I found three people matched three numbers, so the tiebreaker came into play, and worked out nicely. GKL, you're going to really like the Equinox...once you get used to it. Glad it is going to someone who can use an upgrade! Huge CONGRATS on winning a monumentous, marathon contest!!

Thanks Scuba, your contests have been very generous, if the forum gave award emblems for generosity you definitely deserve one !!!!

I will definitely enjoy the prizes, and I might be landlocked and not need a scoop for water hunting, but with the 800 being waterproof at least I don't have to worry about rushing my detector out of the weather the second a little rain starts falling :lol:

Scuba, you have been a blessing to this forum, not just the contests, but your attitude and the stories you share of some of the amazing underwater recoveries you have done ! And my wife and I both agree with your idea of having a giving attitude and how you treat others, we don't have to be rich financially but our lives can be enriched by how we treat others. With all your contributions to the forum, maybe they could add a scuba diver "similie" to their emoticon selections and name it "Scuba" :lol: (you knew I had to fit some humor in here :lol:)

Having said that, I have always tried to maintain an attitude of being content with what I could afford, and if I hadn't won the contest I would still be content to wait till I could do better, but having the 800 should definitely increase my finding ability from what I had :lol:

I was just thinking, later I'll have to update my signature file from how it is now to include:

Minelab Equinox 800, Bounty Hunter Tracker IV, Garrett Carrot pinpointer, Cen-Tech pinpointer……. and so on

Maybe I might even get my wife to detect with me occasionally with having 2 detectors now :lol:

(it might not be something she would do often, but in the past she sounded like she might try it, she is just on an extra busy schedule right now at work)
 
Congratulations Gary. Since I did not win I am glad to see that the winner is in South Carolina. Good luck with that new machine.
