From the land of the Bluenose.....poured Tony the Tiger in my front seat and not in my tank and Otto purred his way to Fred's Field. This is the field that I did an article on for Eastern and Western Treasure and haven't touched since. Sure was nice to use that small shovel in the trunk that Marie asks about now and again!

Tony T wanted to find some older coins and that he did hitting a Yank Mercury and two George dimes from the forties as well as a First Nation Head penny (have to be politically correct here in Canada), some George pennies and a ton of hot rocks that abound in this field.

From there it was off to lunch and back at her in a "near" virgin park that I also have not hunted in a while.

Tony T had a hankering to try headphones on his machine which lasted on his head for about.....as long as it took me to type this sentence!

Here at this park I caught up to Tony T in the silver department as he was three ahead of me and I doubled that number. Of course Tony t retorted with a Vickie Brit cartwheel (not sure of the date)which is the oldest coin he has found. Man was he happy!

Time was running out way too soon as I had to get hoe to ump a double hitter in Beaverbank.

Here is Tony the Tiger's loot and a fine haul for th newbie it was!

My take , besides the verbal abuse at the ball game was 58 coins @ $2.89 including the 6 silver dimes.
