Anyone hunt beach with Simplex?

Ok guys I have two simplex detectors 1) like new simplex with 2.68 with stock coil and Nel 9.5"x5.5" d.d. coil 2) a simplex + with 2.78 with stock coil that i bought new in july.Question which one would make the best Beach hunter? Which mode is best the beach mode or the all metal with g.b. ?Thank you james45
