This is my second bout with it. Probably the nastiest virus I've ever caught. You spend your nights tossing and turning with severe nausea, cold sweats, dehydration and eventually it's ready to be released, FROM BOTH ENDS! my nephew was the one that brought it to my house and now my children are starting with it too. The best way I have found to make this virus at least somewhat manageable, is taking anti-nausea medication and hydrating frequently. Also vitamin c helps, whether it be vitamin or gummy emergenc chews. Vomiting and diarrhea are the worst symptoms, but it happens so frequently that it is exhausting and it really kicks your butt. Anyone have any experience with this virus, and or tips on how to combat it? Thanks friendly!

It's pretty common and very contagious. From what I understand the symptoms and intensity can vary alot from person to person. I'm pretty sure I had it, as I have had symptoms like that before.

I got it Christmas Eve. Needless to say I spent all day Christmas in bed....with many trips to the bathroom. Luckily it only lasts a couple days.

OMG I just had to sanitize my screen and keyboard after reading that.

Seriously though, sorry to hear what you're going through Jeff. Sounds awful. I don't think I've (knock on wood) ever had it but something's going around here that's more of a sore throat combined with chest cold.

Hoping you feel better soon man!

Try it when you have COPD/emphysema.

My wife went to visit her family in Oklahoma during Christmas. One of the grandkids was sick. She brought home Norovirus and gave it to me. Made for a horrible week. Went to the ER on a Friday evening, no rooms at the hospital, so they shipped me via ambulance to Wichita 155 miles away. In my PJ's, because that is how I went to the ER at the onset of the worst winter storm to hit the area in 3 decades. Got to Wesley Medical, and they had no rooms. They kept me 1 1/2 days in a holding pattern, then told me I'd have to get a motel. Luckily, less than an hour before going to try and find a motel, no car remember, and the case management stopped them and said they had a room come open, but only for 1 night. I had to find someone crazy enough to dare the snowstorm and drive 155 miles and back to Dodge City. I just happen to have a Nephew that crazy LOL. Got home Tuesday afternoon.

Yeah, I don't want to do that again. That was just a few weeks ago.

Yikes! KT has never had it to His Royal Knowledge and plans on keeping it that way! KT agrees and will use sanitizer on the Royal Screen, and keyboard after reading all this stuff! HA HA

Sounds like what I had a few weeks ago. Man my butthole was sore. After the first day I was able to keep chicken soup and crackers down from the other end though. Keeping up with water was essential if you could keep it down. But nothing too crazy from any other bugs/viruses I have had in the past. Whatever the ailment, hydration is key.
