I saw an old gold detector by fisher .Made in los banjos,California. the serial# is 10465. So what year was this made? :hmmm: Thank you.

Long story I heard from Calif.long ago in the 80's .Actually back in the 40's this little town had healing springs .So they named it for the spanish name meaning a place to bath in. They made a mistake BANJOS is the spanish name for the baths. So the mistake they left out the" J ". Look for the spanish names for baths-----its banjos.

Sorry James, no BANJOS is not the word for baths. The Spanish word for baths is Los Baños, or in English, Los Banos (without the tilde over the "n").
The town's Spanish name Los Baños means "the baths"; it is named after a spring that feeds natural wetlands in the western San Joaquín Valley.

Sorry, that was the story told to me by a Mexican man that was detecting in California in the 80's :?: :chaplin:
