Anyone around Williamsburg VA? taking vacation there this year

Wife and I are planning our yearly vacation and looks like its going to be in Sept this year.
We are planning to go to Williamsburg VA and enjoy some of the history and also ill get in a few rounds of Golf.

But then I thought, what if I brough my detector also? Is there areas around that are public and able to hunt?
Or maybe a member here by chance has some places to go for an afternoon or something that could take me out.
Just kind of a thought.

Suffolk has a few parks that's legal to hunt. Sleepy Hole and Lake Meade dog park which is loaded with wooded areas.. Both have produced Civil war items and 20-30's era relics. Good luck.
