Well, I've not been finding much lately when I can squeeze a short rare hunt in, but I did come across this eyeball find the other day. I don't think it's a fantastic find but it's semi-neat maybe.

Best I can make out that's the marking on it.

Anybody (Glasshopper?) have any info on this? 1910-30?

I'm going to keep it, found it at a place their tearing down an old landmark IMO, but I get sentimental like that lol. Anyway, only other finds were copper cents and a clad dime. Bunch of trash in the ground, very noisy. Haven't found silver at this spot in awhile, couple Rosie's only, I dunno - should be more late 40's coins....

The ones I've seen date from the 1930s, and come in Emerald Green glass with screw cap finish. I think your date code would indicate 1934 as year of manufacture. The "L" is the glassworks, and "23" should be the mold number.

Wow, thank you for the quick info! Appreciated.

Yep. What they said above. 1930s. Those odd shapes are kinda unusual, and the green color is cool. IDK why, but almost every one of those I've found were cracked. I did get a nice one. There's probably more bottles at that site if you poke around some more.

Thanks! This spot is currently being torn down/tractored over big time. I think if there was any more glass it's been smashed by now - like that Mountain Maid bottle piece unfortunately. But who knows, if I can get back onto it I'll be sure to keep my eyes out for any.
