My thinking is that you found things that the ctx and dues may have missed because the park 2 frequencies of the EQ800 is catching targets that the others just didn't. I think that makes it different but maybe not better. I bet the ctx and dues can catch targets that the EQ800 may miss. No one detector will catch everything. 5 years from now when Minelab introduces the acme 1000, it will catch targets that the others have missed. I do know that the ctx is like a bloodhound on coins. It will sniff them out really well. I am very impressed with it. When I receive the EQ800, I will put it through the paces and go over places I have gone through with the ctx and see what I can find. I've been using the 17" coil on the ctx and like the coverage I get. My wife is using a safari now but it doesn't find coins like the ctx does. I want to upgrade her to the EQ800 so she will stop eyeballing my ctx. If she gets her hands on it, I will lose it. The ctx is rather big and hard to keep hid. If she finds it, it is game over for me. I do like the EQ800 is finding things that the ctx may have missed. Between both detectors, we will decimate the local parks and leave nothing behind for the other detectorists. lol
