Two days ago my grandson and I went fishing on one of our larger inland lakes here in the lower peninsula. Started out trolling for Lake Trout but that was uneventful. Switched over to worms and slip bobbers and fished the shallower waters. Started catching Rock Bass but it was catch and release as I'm no fan of those fish. Fun to catch as they are real fighters. We probably caught around thirty hoping the Bluegills would show up but that didn't happen either. We were just having fun out fishing together. My last catch for the day was something I had never had happen to me. Got a good hit and as I started reeling in it got a little tougher. Thought I had caught something a lot larger than what we were boating earlier. When I got it to the boat I looked down and immediately told the GS to grab his phone camera. What I had was two fish on one hook. Not a treble hook, but a single pointed hook. I know it sounds far-fetched, but I have a valid answer. The Rock Bass are on their beds right now and they are very aggressive at guarding their eggs. The smaller fish I hooked must have got too close to the larger fishes bed prompting an attack that led to it getting tangled up in the line. Any way you look at it, one line, one hook, two fish. How cool is that.:rofl2::woot: Twofer.jpg

Nice catch! That's an interesting story... one that you're not likely to soon forget. :fishin:

Just make sure you give your Grandson a hard copy of the picture or no one will believe him in 30 years. LOL. I have done that with a treble hook fishing for white bass but that is definitely a first. Nice catch.
