Have had a GREAT March, soft ground, great permissions, and some good hunts. Was hoping to get to 50 Silvers by the end of March (ended up with 47), it isn't going to happen... yesterday the shiny "kicked my arrrrrrrse" and I was skunked. I did get some wheaties, a 1889 Indian Head Cent (under a large Fir tree root and I nicked it) and a ton of modern coins, but no silvers. Did get an official "Walt Disney Productions" marked Minnie Mouse pendant, first one of those I've ever run across. I did get the OK at 5 different homes. First one was 1922 with a huge yard. I don't think I've ever detected a yard so barren of signals, I found one penny. A nearby 1930's home had a couple of pennies. I think both must have had extensive yard work. A 1940's home yard was full of trash and modern coins. Those molten 1" blobs of metal sure ring up nice on the AT Pro! The IHP and some wheat pennies came out of the only good yard, and the last yard had ONE wheat penny and some modern coins. Not all my hunts end up with multiple silvers, that's for sure!

Today the 31st it has been snowing and raining all day, so no chance of getting out for any private yards. Am VERY GRATEFUL for a wonderful month of March to detect, by comparison, I checked my 2019 book and I had only 7 silvers by the end of March.

There are still TONS of goodies in the ground, plenty for us all! I am looking forward, WuhanFlu considering, to keep enjoying the outdoors and metal detecting. Thanks for your interest!

47 silvers by April 1 is pretty dang good.
Hope you didn't get shaken up too much over there tonite.

Thanks Todd, wish I could have hit the magic 50 but no go. Still, didn't think I'd have good hunts this early.

Re the earthquake here tonite... not too bad, it was south of us in the Challis / Stanley Idaho area. Some of my old Western Whiskey bottles rattled a bit, along with glassware in the house, but nothing broken or damaged here in Hamilton. A couple of antique windup clocks in the kitchen actually fired up! How was it for you?

Didn't even feel it over here, read about it on the news after my in-laws texted us and asked if we were ok. I knew it was closer to you so I am glad there were no issues. You have been doing well with the detector lately, I'm sure #50 will find its way into your pouch very soon. I've been in a bit of a slump lately. Hunted hard all weekend and a few evenings last week. I found a few wheats and a buffalo nickel ,as well as the usual junk and clad. Still holding on at 9 FTY.

9 shiny is still nice, more than I had last year at this same time. I did try hard to get those last three silvers but to no avail... Stay safe and give me a buzz if you get over my way!

Congrats on a killer first quarter! Amanda and I are set to blow last hear out of the water! So far for the year we have 3 silvers and a buff. Not as epic as 47 lol but it's a start! Hopefully this weather passes quick and we can get back out there. Its supposed to warm back up this week so fingers crossed! Good luck with the rest of your year!

47 is a very respectable number LS. And with as late of a start you got is quite an achievement. ATTABOY to you sir. I was hoping to hit 30 by March's end and had a good chance till this shutdown happened. Oh well, stay safe and good luck. Mark
