Hello.
I went with my wife today over to the in-laws. I really like her parents, they are really nice people, so it was fun to stop over and say hi. I had asked in advance about MD'ing their yard, and got a resounding YES! I popped into the front yard this time (I hit the back yard with limited success last time there.) There is a driveway to the side, and I started there.
I found quite a lot of misc. stuff, very very few pulltabs, I think I found maybe 2? That is GREAT in my book, plus, NO bottlecaps too. My first find was the silver colored heart, still not sure if it is anything good, but I like it, even if it is banged up a bit. I found penny after penny, then a couple quarters, and a dime, all modern change. I found a bell ornament, and finally a wheatie. I hit some "whatzits" and found a toy car/truck. I found a small rusty wrench, and then hit a squarenail at the sidewalk. before I finally ran out of time, I found this bent small ring. It was crushed flat, but something about it made me think "silver". It was just too shiny, you know? I put it in the keepers pocket and kept going.
I hit a weird signal, but being so close to finishing my grid, I decided to dig anyways. When I pulled it out, it looked like a motorcycle toy tire, from the front end. My wife was outside, watching me intently... I told her "I wonder if the rest of the bike is right..." then my propointer hit something else in the hole to the side. It was the rest of the bike. Much cooler to have the whole piece. I decided to call it quits, after getting half of the front yard before sunset. I can ALWAYS go back, according to my inlaws. They are some of the nicest people I have met in so many years, and I guess we all joke around about "inlaws", but mine are awesome! So, its never a problem to stop by, even without the detector
For the short time I was there, I pulled a lot of keepers, and very few "junkers", mostly nails from a recent re-roofing. I will be back!!!!!
Thanks for looking everyone!
