1652 oak tree schilling

Congratulations. I love when this stuff is found in CT. Gives me inspiration to keep swinging.
 
You New Englanders are lucky to have these in the ground up there. Some of them made there way to the Mid Atlantic but just like much of the early silver down here its almost always cut up just as the one I found last year was. It does look like yours has been clipped around the edges though Super rare find either way

Fantastic discovery and recovery! That's the kind of coin find that the detecting magazines put on the cover, and write up stories about, and it makes people want to go out and buy that model of whatever detector you found it with!
Congrats on getting into a VERY elite club with that one!
 
I'd still get that thing in a holder asap. Congrats on a great find.
