Found this whilst detecting in a grassy plateau adjacent to what used to be an old farm did also find some bullets there however they are only 1940-60’s this seems older. I think it to be a lock however in even unsure on that

What is the best detector out there for gold below $1000? I am considering Garrett AT gold or Garrett GTI 2500. Probably because of the price and reviews. But I have never used any detector before. I am mostly interested in larger depth detection, and below $1000.

Just a quick catch-up since my last post, which was back in October. November was slow. The month started off pretty good with a nice double hoop 14k earring in the water. The beach was still eroding then with nice rip currents, but then the beach got sanded in bad, and has stayed that way...
