problem is if everything gets opened we are right back to "let's flatten the curve" because nothing really has changed has it?
I can understand the need to earn money and the frustration. But risking your health, your life to sit on a beach? Sorry but not me. I also think that it is a giant slap in the face to the people in the hospitals that have sacrificed so much trying to save lives.
Personally i don't give two craps about the lives of ignorant or arrogant people. But this virus will not restrict itself to just them. Their children, parents, and coworkers are put at risk because of their stupidity.
Have the decency to think of others. At least have the respect to look back in history and see what others have sacrificed for this nation. And you can't sit at home and soak up the sun ink your yard? Pretty pathetic! Also selfish beyond comprehension.
People complain and say "I have rights". Those rights are available because of those that made a real sacrifice. That guy in the trench or foxhole would tell those people to shut the hell up.

My sister-in-law and son are both ICU nurses. They said yesterday they had 30 cases at the hospital and that 9 nurses in the sister-in-laws area tested positive ... thus far with no signs. Lucky, she and my son are still Neg. This stuff dont play around and it those like the nurses that test positive that is the issue. Tests dont show who has had the virus. In my sister-n-laws case ....... then sent her home for a week without pay since they couldnt say if she had it or not..... those who tested positive were sent home for 2 weeks WITH pay. All these people running around as carriers IS the concern. Places like Wal-mart locally ive not heard them report ANY cases...... and half their employees arent wearing masks. Beaches are now open come monday with parking. But i have seen more caution than was given just a month ago. I mean people walk around you and a good many ..... even runners are wearing masks.

As a nurse who was raised by another nurse and a service industry employee, and is now married to a CENA, all I can say is that I appreciate your points of view goodmore & dewcon. Many people are only concerned with themselves and what's best for them. All too many people have shown little to no concern for others. Especially those that may have no choice but to place themselves at risk of a horrible, protracted death to protect to care for the larger community.
Yep! And to that I would respond; "Try convincing the virus that your rights trump their ability to infect you". (I suspect the virus won't be listening.)

Looks like Newport and HB are going to challenge the States hard temporary beach closures here in the OC. Looked at this morning's cams and see a few walkers and surfers already out , but its early. We shall see.
I went hunting early am on tuesday , 1st hunt in 2 weeks. Only a few people on the beach. I was working the wet and a couple is far off walking the wet towards me. As they get closer , I move up the slope to avoid people , about 40 feet. So what do they do with nobody within 200 yards ? Yup....walk right by me within 4 feet of me.
A few months ago , nobody wore any PPE at the beach when this just started. Then as more became of social distancing , etc they were being pretty good. Now it has regressed again. People don't care.

The numbers have been messed with and we will never know the real number of people that actually died from this virus. If you went to the hospital for a gunshot wound and died. The hospitals have been told by the W.H.O to list your death as covid. They are misleading the people on purpose.

Personal freedoms are a side effect of sacrifices. This IS the greatest nation on earth because of the foundation laid by those elderly service men/women, builders & business entrepenuers etc. To simply cast them aside as collateral damage for the sake of herd immunity?! We owe them much more...we owe them everything!

Cut that number in half, they are blaming corona on pretty much everything. Even deaths that are not illness related.

Please, stop with the conspiracy theories. The US hospitals, or those from other countries, are not controlled by WHO. And posting a video of some unknown "authority" is not evidence.
Having said that, if you are obese, catch the virus and then die, you will be listed as a virus fatality, if your body tests positive for it; just like if you die from a heart attack, you will be recorded as a heart attack victim and not for obesity.
Mike...we are not going to allow any conspiracy garbage or politic nonsense on the forum... those who wish to post that trash find another venue...

When you see the interviews of the survivors that are still recovering they all say " this is to be taken seriously , didn't think it would be me , this is real" or words to that effect. Some may have permanent lung damage for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately , we don't have comments from those that didn't make it. Just their families....So for those flaunting the law , throwing caution and commonsense to the wind....have at it ! Party on ! I call it thinning the herd....

Sorry but I don’t mean to seem political. I just don’t believe the numbers. Just like I don’t think that Starbucks is more essential then a bar. Both serve food. Some people want a coffee in the morning to get ready for a long day at work. And some people want a drink at the end of that very same day.
Whatever it takes to make you feel safe from this Virus please do. Regret can last a lifetime.
I know people who have this Virus and the one common thing is they where always around a large group of people and the group changed everyday.
Now with MD, this is a choice to go out. Just choose wisely. I wish everyone on this forum that they and their families be healthy thru this.
