As for old wive's tales, I've always heard that you shouldn't wear white while fishing because it scares the fish. I NEVER wear white while fishing.

Well, then you don't know many service repairmen! I never trust anyone who says their dog never bites :lol: (I have the scars to prove it, and so do many of my co-workers). I go into a dozen stranger's homes per week, 4 out of 5 own dogs...Not that we don't like dogs, they just can't be trusted not to bite!

My cousin gave me their German Shepard because they had teased and abused him so much he attacked anyone that came around. After I had had him a while my cousin came down and he tried to attack him. I had gotten him to where he didn't attack anyone else. My cousin said "He doesn't remember me." I answered, "Yes he does. He just doesn't have to put up with it anymore."

Yep. Dogs remember , and they hold grudges to.

Yeah, if you don't like someone, neither will your dog. I met a girl while walking in the park. She was with her 6mo German Shepard. She said her dog didn't like Hispanic people and she didn't know why. I didn't have the heart to tell it was because she didn't feel comfortable around them. A dog is instantly aware of a change in their owners emotional state, especially when it comes to fear.

When i have a service man over now i put my dog in the other room , he really is friendly dog and likes most people and loves kids. He has even tried to get in the mail truck with the mail lady to go for a ride.
