I've found a few fixes on YouTube before as well. The 1st time I knew of anyone finding a fix there was my daughter. She had a check engine light on in her car. I was trying to think of what to check to see why it was on , while she was in the car on her phone , she started flipping the , lights buttons and stuff and finally the light went off. She found the manufacturers sequence to reset the computer to turn off that light. I was impressed. So it definetly can be a useful tool.
