Whats the deal with all the minelab equinox's

A few I’ve seen for sale are folks selling a Nox they got tired of waiting for and bought one sooner that was available. I’d love to have a Nox, hoping to win one soon

I was considering looking for a "nox" as u so call it on the classifieds and hence my reason for joining, certainly not for putting up with this horsecrap !!!!. Morons

So, why didn't you ask Nox users if they liked it or what their experience was, instead of:

1.) Picking a name that sounds like male self-abuse, and
2.) Asking a question phrased to make it sound like most people who bought one are trying to unload it?

I have no reason to disagree with those accusing you of trolling yet...

I think it is best to wait awhile before buying a new itemized like a detector.

Work out any kinks first.

It happens with every new detector, people buy thinking that gold and silver will just jump out of the dirt or water and when it does not they just sell it rather than put in the time to learn the machine better...

OP ... If you MD in an area with neutral soil then there are many machines that easily compete with the NOX. I'd bet folks tried it but it didn't seem much different that their existing go-to machine. For example, if I were back in Detroit, I'd rock the ATP fo' sur'! But I hunt salt water. That is where MF-VLF machines shine and the advantages of such machines are more obvious.

Can't say I disagree with the op,on findmall I just counted 6 ads for used noxs on page 1 of detector for sale that are not double posted,that's alot.

While he may be trolling, their may be some basis to his original point. So I'd move his position from that of just trolling to stirring the pot with an alias.

Couple nox 800s on the first page used too,and been seeing 800s used for sale often too.But I agree there are a few more 600s ...Don’t make it any less of a machine cause they’re used already,the markets literally flooded with the equinox,,same as the at pro flooded the used market right after release.Looking at the equinox myself again,but I’d get the 600 over the 800,I don’t need all the options

one should be careful in their choice of words since words and how you use them on a forum mean something.

I can see some users selling their Equinox detectors since there is a very real learning curve especially if you are coming from a mid rage detector like the AT Pro that does not have as many features and settings as the Nox. Don't get me wrong, I loved my AT pro, but needed the 800 for some hearing issues. I was very frustrated with the 800 for the first couple of weeks and thought I made a bad decision. However I listened to some of the senior members on this forum and followed their advice and stuck to it. I am now comfortable with my break settings and will probably be even more comfortable after another 30 hours.

If Minelab puts out a update and tightens a few things up on that machine,I don’t think you’ll see many used for sale.Not bad now,but a little tweaking and it could be awesome
