Since I'm new to the hobby, I would be excited to dig either a Buffalo nickel, Indian head penny, Mercury dime, Half or Dollar coin, or a Diamond ring. :)
:detector:
Any silver or gold coin wouldn't be so bad either. :)

I have always wanted to find a very nice condition Pine Tree Shilling. I am in the right state for it. Just need to see it happen now.

Anything that I could use to impress my wife and make her believe I haven't lost all my marbles picking up a new hobby at this age. Well, come to think about it, even Scuba's gold wouldn't do that. Maybe some 1600/1700 coins would be nice.

Seated anything because I have yet to find one. I have a type 1 trime, 1881 morgan and a 1892 barber, but no seated. I think the half dimes are really cool too.

Digging homesteads, old brass fittings. then harmonica reeds and clock parts. that way I'm never disappointed. even at the worst homestead ,:D
( really, just any old pre clad coin makes my day.)

Happyness I find it everytime i get to hunt hope it is always as much fun as I have now

Since I'm new at MDing:
1. Morgan Dollar
2. Indian Head Penny

I've also thought it would be fun to find a time capsule. :mder:

I am also new to detecting.
I think a VF or better Barber quarter or half would do it.
