Stick with those fast food jobs and you will gain it.
Lol. False.
The only thing your going to do by eating too much is to get a big gut. Men store fat in their stomachs before it goes anywhere else. Once the body gets enough there, then it will go elsewhere. To gain healthy weight, you must work out all your muscles and put on muscle mass.
Same goes for the reverse. You cant focus on one place to lose weight. If you have a big gut (like me), you cant just do situps or crunches and expect to lose weight in your belly. You must do a ton of cardio and after you lose the weight everywhere else, then the weight will start going away in your belly.
First to gain, last to lose. It is the bodies way to cope with what you are doing to it.
Of course spot training still builds muscle mass in that location whether there is fat there or not, you just cant see it until the fat goes away.
I will tell you what my plan is and anyone can follow suit if they so wish.
Warning: it is kind of spendy.
Currently I am on Seattle Sutton Heathy Eating. This is a pre-prepared food service that is fresh and not frozen. They have a 1200 cal and a 2000 cal diet. It is very convenient for those people (like me) who find it hard to cook and eat healthy. The downside is the price 120/140 a week depending on the cal intake.
I have dropped from 260-240 over the last 3 weeks doing this and I quit drinking pop.
I will be quiting this plan in the next week or so, as I am starting the Beachbody P90X program. I have a friend who is a coach and is going to bring me through the 1st 90 days. She will be coaching me on exercise and cooking healthy for myself and my family. P90X is a very hard program and not for the faint of heart. This program also uses protein shakes and protein/carb recovery drink daily.
On top of all of this, I am having a treadmill delivered to my house tomorrow and will be running on it 1 hour a day (besides the 1 hour P90X workout). I plan on going from my 240 today down to buff 200.
Best of luck to all who compete.
If you have any questions, or need somewhere to start, feel free to ask. If I dont have the answer, my coach surely does.
