WOW!! What a hunt. Congrats on the goodies, betcha REALLY love that E-Trac about now...
I actually learned a new technique that was working out there. That's the real gem of this epic hunt, I actually learned something about my machine, my technique, and my hunting style...that to me is invaluable because on really hard hit sites I might be able to pull a good keeper or two that I would have passed up in the past.
Appreciate your help with the E-Trac in the past, helps to have guys like you that help it all make sense. Luck was on my side that day, I was lucky to be on a site that had multiple silvers so I could learn how my machine acts in those environments.
Not trying to be smug at all, but I also know that most of these targets were not targets that screamed "IM SILVER" instead these were one way blips that I had to really work to get them to talk to me. I'm confident that in the past I would have walked past these tones and wrote them off as falses.
I stayed disciplined and really worked the targets from several axis until they piqued my interest enough to dig, most I was 85% positive were silvers before I dug them. The E-Trac is a beast, and once a fella knows what all those growls mean, he may become a beast as well. Having confidence in your machine helps...a lot.
My E-Trac is named E-lation... I guess you can see why...lol
