So just to re-cap

The X-Pointer hits Gold just fine without the falsing of the GPP and if you should have a problem, its quickly resolved under their two year warranty - all for under $90

No wonder corporate America entrusts China to manufacture their goods

Eh. I had the TRX since it came out and my wife has had the GPP for two years. No problems, no falsing, no returns required. For every video of a bad unit there are a dozen showing one working just fine. I'm not down on the xpointer... I'm sure it's fine and the PI is interesting. If it were waterproof to 10' I'd try one. Oh and I found this for those who are keeping track...

Just want to chime in here. This may be a good economical unit and may even work almost as good as a Garrett Pro Pointer Or a Whites TRX BUT the big question is will this manufacture stand behind there product like Whites and Garrett does? I seem to think not.
Any issues I have had were quickly resolved by a phone call and more than once a new replacement part/unit was shipped out the same day before the defective was even returned. You cannot put a price on peace of mind.

Hey, I've had disappointments in most of my deliveries from Whites concerning replacements of defective products. Whites is absolutely stellar in doing full replacements mind you, BUT they ain't Gods at shipping at all IMO. Every single delivery I got from them was always 5-7 days, or longer. I had to wait nearly 3 weeks once...someone said to me upon a call back after waiting was, "Sorry, I forgot to ship it." Did Whites expedite the shipment THEN at that time? NO.

Deteknix has no sampling time right now as far as comparing themselves and large vendors like Whites or Garretts. It's not really fair to say "I seem to think not" about the future of the service with the X-Pointer. It is certainly every one's personal right to feel so.

The new Makro Pin Pointer is stupid sensitive on gold and aluminum. Much better than most.

I like that the Makro is waterproof and the videos show good depth, If I have any money left after Christmas I will try it.

Got one coming Monday to give it a try. My GPP is messed up and needs to go to the factory for repair so I will try this one until I can get it fixed.

I'm hoping the Makro will be under the tree this Christmas! I also like that its waterproof that way I can use it with my AT Pro and not have to worry about getting it wet.

No mention of side sensitivity. I wonder if it is tip sensitive only?

Side and tip detection. Slightly more sensitive than GPP. Not sensitive to very small foil or gold, easily picks up gold rings and pull tabs. No pressure falsing like GPP.
