The Hoover Boys and the MAX

Ive been using the AT pro for years , and did well with it. I havent owned a max but I know enough about it to call it a slight improvement over the pro. Now that Im using an equinox its like Ive been blind all these years and just now regained my sight. As much as Ive enjoyed the pro , its now gonna collect a lot of dust

The hoover boys use the AT's because they are sponsored , or have some other obligation to Garrett. Nothing wrong with that , but its not because they are all that great , its just what they use on camera

They are not sponsored by Garrett. There's a reason you see them doing so many reviews of different detectors. They have great sites to hunt and have been very successful. Thus they get many detectors to test in their videos.

Contrast that to Nugget Noggin who only uses Garrett in his videos because he works for Garrett.

Right place at the right time has more to do with great finds than the detector itself.

Or, maybe they like Garrett detectors. What company wouldn't want them to hunt with their detectors ? They have mentioned many times they don't get paid by any company to do reviews or hunts.

Well I enjoy their videos. They seem like nice guys. They have good humor too. They hunt all day and dig tons of trash. Neither is easy to do. Plenty of amazing finds were found with the AT series. Find good locations and put the work in then you get rewarded. Don't get all caught up in detector propaganda. There are plenty of hunters out there that are taking their Equinox back to that same old site expecting great new finds. Oh and the most important part.....enjoy yourself.

Recent THB vids look like they've been using the MAX but with bigger NEL coils. Makes me wonder about the stock MAX coil. These guys know what they're doing and if they all switched coils .... just wondering. I'm considering buying a MAX (currently using a PRO) and a NEL Tornado for example would be another $200. That puts the price in the NOX range. Thoughts???

Their purpose is to pimp Garrett products, and make $$ off YT.

Sure they're going to vary the equipment they use, in order to benefit the manufacturer in exchange for compensation.

If you have never used another detector then you have nothing to compare it to. How many guys you see switching from a minelab to at max? From a Deus to a At max? From a f75 to a max? From a t2 to a AT MAX? Why do you think that is? If you enjoy it that's great but when you get another brand under your belt come back and talk to us then about performance. Coming from a bounty hunter I'm sure its a giant upgrade but there are way better detectors out there for the money. Ask and see what the majority tells you....

You're still on the topic of which detector is the BEST. or Better. Debating against ones first detector compared to the many many things that makes each one different is pointless.... There is a reason there is price ranges. There is a reason for different options. Same as for tones. Its what works in the hands of the holder. Nobody Would change THEIR detector unless its proven superior.. The max works.. Uphill battle for you. They all have their own flaws. Some people can tolerate different flaws better than the next... Its no longer a debate. I'm not saying any detector is !!!!. They all work. Find what does it for you. join a class.

The Hoover boys not only run the at pro,at max in theyre videos,,but also a deus,a Nokia impact,a F75ltd2,in They’re videos.So I think it’s unfair to select Garrett as the main focus here.Seems Garrett has a small group of haters,but a worldwide group of people love them...If anyone here thinks the Hoover boys at being paid by Garrett you could be right,but if so they’re also being paid by Nokta,Deus and Fisher.
