i am probaly going to get one of these in the spring i looked online and cant tell and diff on the t2 and the f75, the only diff is the price.

I tried to figure this out as well but never got to in depth on the features between the 2. I ended up buying the F75 and it spent more time as a $1,000door stop after I bought it than it did in the field. the F75 is a great machine but was way to picky for my hunting style and takes alot of patiences to learn all the features{and alot of it aint even covered in the manual that comes with it}.
have you looked at the whites MXT or even the M6? much easier to operate and atleast in my ground an all around better machine..and cheaper than the F75 {the MXT that is..havent tried the M6 and the M6 is cheaper than both}

the IDX is a toy compared to the MXT in my opinion. do a search for MXT related threads here and you'll learn quit a bit. or get ahold of Rudy or Lowjiber and they can give you TONS of infor on the MXT.

I have the T2 and I love it. Very powerful and very fast machine, it helped me find a 1906 Barber quarter within my first month in the hobby. There is a little learning curve with it because it is so fast, That said I also was able to use it right out of the box with success so it is not complicated at all. I think it is well worth the money, very strong machine without spending crazy amount of money.

The F75 has an adjustable shaft, the T2 doesn't.
The F75 has 3 search mode, the T2 has 2.
The F75 has programable target ID, the T2 doesn't.
The F75 has 65 target segments, the T2 has 99.
The F75 has a static all-metal mode, the T2 doesn't.
The F75 has 65 different tone ID's, the T2 has 6.

The T2 does have a pinpoint mode. You just pull the trigger and it goes into pinpointing mode, very easy.

There is a optional 5 inch coil for it also.

Thanks for the correction Steve. I haven't owned either but was going off what the tech sheet shows. Perhaps they mean the F75 has a all-metal mode/pinpoint and the T2 doesn't.

The tech sheet was from Teknetics? That is odd, because it definitely has the pinpointing mode. It is very easy, you pull a trigger and it goes into the pinpoint mode, with a sensetivity default setting of 60, but you can manually adjust that between 1-99.

I dont think youll find this in the manual but if you put your sensitivty below 5 on the F75 and Im pretty sure he said the T2 as well it puts the machine into a super boost and is like running the sense full bore with out all of the instability to the ID that a higher sens gives{I think default is 85 or so ?} when I was learning the F75 I contacted several folks who knew the machine very well but I believe it was Bill Ladd who gave me that tip. it does tend to pick up more noise in the super boost but deep targets lock on ALOT better while using it. I often ran my sens at 3.

Thanks for the tip, I will have to try it out!
