Man! Once in a Lifetime opportunity! They did the same thing here a few years back, tore out the old main street...when I rolled up at 4am, there were two old guys sitting on their tailgate sharpening their diggers and drooling all over themselves!!

Good Luck, you window of opportunity may be very short. They probably will have the whole thing repaved over the weekend unless they have some sewer work to do..

They are doing sewer work, as well as sidewalks! They have it split in a couple phases....right now they are only doing half of the street.....they get the water mains/sewers in and they will start on the other side! It's gonna be about a month worth of work! Its gonna be fast and furious for the next couple weeks though!

Nebtrac went with last night and he dug some IHP's V Nickels and a couple dimes!

I wish I could! Crappy thing is the crew doesn't stop working til about 7, so I get off work at 5:30 and have to wait an hour and a half to go over there! I will be putting in a lot of hours this spring/summer. I also found out they are tearing out ALL of the brick streets in town that were laid in the 1920's! So literally all summer I will be hunting a street tear out! Also upon further examination under a microscope the seated turned out to be a stinkin' barber!

Well, I had some troubles getting video uploaded from the other night. I went back this afternoon and DID find a Seated dime! 1876 CC. I knocked the snot out if it with my digger but it's still my first seated! I haven't even been detecting for a year yet and already have a seated, barber, and a merc! Just need a rosie!

Well I will see what I can do! I plan on going back tonight as it looks like they tore some more sidewalk out today! I'm feeling a gold coin tonight, maybe a couple more silvers while I'm at it. Maybe if I do really good I'll get a Seated Barber giving an Indian a V with a Morgan.

It just keeps getting better! Dug a 187(?) Shield Nickel, 2 V's a 1896 & 1903, a toasted Indian, and a 1901 Barber Dime last night! That makes 4 v's, a shield, a seated dime, 2 barber dimes, and one lonely Indian for me in 3 trips. Best thing is they only have half of it tore out, I can't imagine what I'll find when they do the rest!

Sounds like they are starting the other portion of it the beginning of next week...I'm hoping to find a pile of coins. Maybe the Barber grand slam...Dime, Quarter, Half. Or a Seated Grand Slam even. But more than likely the V nickels will keep coming, either way I'll take what I can dig up! I'm still hopeful one of the solid midtones I dig won't be a nickel or bale seal, but rather a gold coin! It's only a matter of time!
