Stavr Scoop Questions

I can see right now that I'm going to have to change my username on different forums! :D Well.. you do have to admit, I was nice to him. I even thanked him for his opinion... guess I was having a good day and not drinking rum?

Now.. about that $11.99 plus tax shovel... you want me to tell you where to stick it!!

NF is my public enemy #1 so in fact you are my hero ..

In regards to stickin it well coward or shy I am not :)

Hey # 9 you made my morning!!!
Man I was taken back!

Sorry you where called out like that.

Especially after what your family has given to country.
I'd buy you a rum or beer anytime!

Well, I thank you sir!
Just remember, you can't be to serious about some people on a forum.

No Chuck you are very confused .. I'm not trying to tell WATER hunters anything as the shovel is useless in the water .
What I'm trying to tell newcomers who may never go in thecwatervti stop wasting close to $209 on an unnecassary tool .. A $20 or less shovel does a way better job unless they are physically unable to bend over ..

I really couldn't care less what anybody uses as it's their business but I'm tired if guys preaching that you MUST haveca scoop to beach hunter .. I have somehow managed since 1974 :)

You're a rebel!!:laughing::laughing::laughing:

But, you got to have people like that, it gives you something else to talk about!
What I don't understand is why you would let him into New Jersey!?

I really don't care where you stick your shovel.. as long as I can tease ya about it!:D

#9 The whole presentation was outstanding!

He assumed the worst of you before he knew
the facts! Then you hit him with your family's history!

I hope he mans up and apologies to you.

Many times people think they have the right "label" on another person and know exactly where to place them on a shelf. And some like to judge others without knowing many facts. You just can't do that on a forum. It's not the same as talking face-to-face.

I don't expect any apologies.. and I really don't need any.

Best at ya!

#9 B.P. is fast with that dang shovel!

After watching him hunt with that Garden Weasel I 'm starting
to wonder why I have 3 scoops!!!:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Wayne I can a sure you he doesn't talk like that
face to face. I have word for guys like that but I can't
post it cuz Craig will get ticked!

As far as the apology it would never happen,he's got
no class at all. People on the forums are beneath him or
so he thinks.

Then why do you charm in on EVERY scoop post if it has NOTHING to do with the way you hunt!?!? Maybe you and Terry should start a "it's my way or no way fan club". Personally, I would be a big supporter. Maybe hunting in my area would get back to what it was a few years ago. I would be happier than a "We Buy Gold" shop if everybody used Sand Sharks and shovels.

Continue to cut people up for their questions on digging tools and EDUCATED responses and I will continue to tell you that you don't have a clue what you are talking about. I am FORTUNATE that I don't have to hunt NJ and never will.

Just because someone wants to know about a scoop doesn't necessarily mean that they need one..

Many newcomers keep being told that they need a scoop when it is simply not the case..
Where am I cutting up people for using a scoop ?? Wher have I ridiculed anyone ?
I am only saying that I see dozens of guys hunting the wet and dry sand continously where I hunt and they are carrying some burdensome scoop when they don;t need one... I wonder where they get the idea Chuck ??

They look on the forum and there are 156 threads on scoops.. It's a digging tool and not the master of all detecting..

I feel maybe many overanalyze the hobby...

It's a public forum and I could care less what YOU choose to use, but I'l have my say about the shovel anytime I please...
I have nothing invested..I'm not a salesperson and have no affiliation with any company..I just think it's sad that this scoop preaching goes on over and over and over...

When is the last time hunters discussed using a shovel on a forum ??
NEVER...Maybe many should wake the F up !!

PS...Craig created a STICKY for SCOOPS yet there are still 50 threads a day about a stinkin digging tool...Please go hunt and post some finds now and then , so we can all see how effective your 20 different scoops are..

Back to the OP's original question, I have used an Evroexcavator 2.2 for a while now and I could not be happier with it. I have used it in all conditions from big rocks to shells to mud to sand of all types and it's been great. Light and super-strong. Just make sure to get a proper ash handle for it and also wax your handle regularly (no dirty comment please!).

BP... I put up a sticky for members to check out the different scoops... they then can talk about them here in the beach section all they want... they can also talk about them in the stick if they so choose..

Hey Stewart, thank you very much for the feedback. I'm leaning more towards that particular model now so it's good to hear that you are loving it. I believe they are all good, just thinking the 2.2 would fit me better so far. When you say wax, do you mean parrafin? It gets awfully hot here for several months of the year so I'm not sure how will that hold up? Does it sort of soak into the wood or only coats it? I looked at handles today while I was at Lowes and they were not just plain wooden handles, they were oiled handles according to the sticker and seemed to have some gloss to them. Would that work or would I be needing to sand that coat off perhaps and add the parrafin? I'm not sure if the handles were ash, pine, oak or what they were as they did not specify the type of wood they were made of. Thank you!

Why don't you guys start your own thread and beat each other up there. Hijacking Seanpauls thread and starting a bash is not helping him. Do you even remember what his question was? Bunch of damn rookies.
