I don't know if maybe you didnt read all the way down or not but this is stated about what happens to the pull tabs

no, i did, but it take 53 normal pulltabs to equal a soda can (Half an ounce) 32 cans to a pound equals 1696 pulltabs at 50 cents per pound...... Doesn't benefit them, didn't say it didn't make money. The wise thing would be to just collect the cans.
