Nori Beach pays off...

Wow- first target??? That's the way to start a hunt- congrats on the awesome ring Craig! I don't recall if I ever found gold as the first target before.

Exactly... I started my hunt at a different beach and it was a waste of time so I started searching for another spot... Thanks Ice... yes its a small religious item looks like front of a ring... the Excal likes tiny targets or maybe its just me who digs them

I thought so.. That's a "Miracle of Fatima" piece, it was probably a tiny pendant. They are always tiny and often feature blue enamel.. Here's one I found..

Nice!!!!! Good to see some gold in the beach and Water Hunting section, it's been so slow!

Congrats to you!

Old rings are the best...so unique. Congrats on that beauty

Thanks Dew... I could hunt active beaches but I prefer these small out of the way stops... I'm not going to make a killing in quantity but I will find some unique finds now and then..

Thanks George... one other time I found a 18k old diamond ring with the stone in the center of a Starburst pattern.. I found it so fast PI JOE was still up at his car.. found that one with my pulse machine.

Thanks for the info Ice... I dig lots of tiny targets never know when its going to be a stud earring... just looked at the tiny piece and the top shows where a tab was that most have broken off..

What a beauty. Big congrats on the awesome recovery.

Thanks Charlie...

Thanks Real.. winter is my hunting season... I almost never hunt summer unless its dirt but this year with my knee injury I hadn't picked up my Excal since April.

Decided to take a ride to Nori beach... my first target was the 13 grams of goodness... tests between 14 and 18 it could be 16k regardless its the real deal...

Stone is real... I'm pretty sure I know the country its from...

Beautiful ring, especially that stone!

Thanks David... gonna take it back to my jeweler to see if he can buff out the scratches on the band.. looks like it was rattling around in the rocks for a while...

Wife wanted me to sell it... I told her it fits perfectly where I wear my wedding band... I told her how about I sell that bad luck charm instead... she walked out of the room mouthing something under her breath

It definitely looks like corundum to me with that star showing in the middle. It's hard to say whether the color is more ruby or sapphire. Both of them are the same material only the color makes the difference. I like the way the sight shows through from the back. I keep hoping to mine one that quality.

Thanks for the info Haldean....

I think its a nickname? Awesome finds Craig, congrats!

Coyote beach name came about when heading to that spot I saw a coyote chewing a rib bone off a deer carcass on the side of the road... Coyote beat MudPuppy to the road kill

Legend has it mud lures coyotes in with the rib bone.. spikes it with ether... and is waiting a little ways down the road with the red car in drive

I don't know how Mud can drive up on roadkill and take it home and consume it.. gross.. same thing with eating cake and pizza he finds left in parks he hunts someone else touched that thing.. they could have spit on it or licked or an animal lick it... I'd like to send him a can of surstromming see if he eats that

Take him to a night market in Bangkok. It's a buffet of insects... most of them still alive and crawling. Bit strange to see a hot little # come out of the gogo bar and start snacking on jumbo sized grasshoppers and larvae.... crunch crunch crunch.

Congrats on the super ring and the great coinage . The illuminated hand - ring picture is
very creative , a real nice effect .

Thanks Soil... I was trying for the rich color I saw when I dipped it in water to clean it off that I saw in the sunlight

Whoa!!! That’s a honker for sure! WTG!

Thanks ugadigger... one of my better finds recently.. last nice one was the snake ring I found December of last year.. was a very similar type of spot.. lots of rocks.. I guess others don't like digging in the rocks...
