knoxville tennessee??

Where to go?

I am really new to metal detecting I just bought my first detector. I bought an Ace 250. I have only been around in my yard and found a bunch of junk. I was thinking of heading up to norris lake today and look around a bit. If anyone knows of anyplace around I would love to hear. Also, I may be wrong but I heard somewhere that metal detecting club meets at great American buffet on merchants road once a month or so. If anyone wants to chat or go detecting let me know. Thanks.

Yes, you're right. That's the Smoky Mountain Artifacts Research and Treasure Society. There are some really friendly and funny guys in the group. They meet the second Monday of every month. There is a club hunt this saturday with over 20 members planned to attend already. It's a really great atmosphere and like I said the people are really friendly and every once in a while you pass members hunting in fields and public places. The members of the club are very active always looking for new hunting buddies and club members. Tom Copeland is also a member of S.M.A.R.T.S. which is the local White's dealer around here. He is very smart and up with all the new metal detecting technology and tricks. If it's on the White's website he has it. He is friendly and informative plus there are no shipping charges. :p

If for some reason I'm not there ask for Ralph. He's my go to guy I know him best and he'll get you up with all the club info and answer any question you might have about SMARTS. There is a spot reserved for the club at ever meeting just inside the door to the right from (6:00pm if you want to eat) (7:00pm if you just want to attend the meeting) till the end of the meeting. You can't miss them.

hello iam from kingston. about 38 miles west of knoxville and i just got into metal detecting about 7 mths ago. and really love it but cant really find anyone in my home town that likes metal detecting. but would like to find some one to help do some reserch around the surrounding areas and maybe find some cool stuff

I am from Sevierville, I have been in this area for about 6 years and have not had much luck either. I am interested in finding a group to detect with. I've been swinging a GTI 1500 for about 7 years now. I have changed my email address to
[email protected] if anyone is interested in getting together.

Tennessee metal detecting club

There is a really good club in Knoxville called the Smoky Mountain Artifacts Relics and Treasure Society. They meet on the second Monday of each month at the Great American Steak and Buffet on Merchants drive at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and join.

I am in Knoxville, actually trying to decide which detector to get. I am leaning toward a Silver uMax and on the other side, an F2.

I'm in Clinton ready to go! My family has about 60 acres of farmland. I hope to find some something on these properties! Weeeeeeeeeeeee

I live in Kingston, and I hope to have a metal detector soon. (I've got a bid on one on eBay ritght now.) Since I'm new to the hobby, I would love to get together with someone who knows the ropes! I'll post when and if I am the successful bidder on the Garrett!
