Any ideas about what this interesting piece could be? I found it on my private ground, in the Second World War it used to be a battleground in early 1945 between American and German troops (Just after the Battle of the Bulge). It was close to some other US and German relics. I decided to take it with me because it had such an interesting shape, does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Thank you in advance! 410654878_896626051821309_7738963146844740200_n.jpg410807240_661934906135175_7403971102604686433_n.jpg

I have no clue what-so-ever. Hope someone else can ID it. Neat.
Hi Hoser!

After doing a lot of research I found what it is: This is a boot pull up hook that German officers used to put on their high marching boots during WW2. This piece was not standard issue in the German Whermacht, but it was in the SS divisions. Some Whermacht officers also purchased them privately. So this is quite a rare and personal find!!

What an awesome find! Thanks for explaining what it was used for.

As side note, my father was at the Battle of the Bulge. US Army in the Quarter Master Company with a group know as the Rail Splitters.
