I reached my goal of 100 silvers FTY!

Congratulations!
I wish I could find silver like that! I am from Pittsburgh and only am able to get out about 4 times a year. How do you find places to detect besides parks? Just looking for some pointers.

Thanks
Sandee

Thank you Sandee! I lucked out and happened upon a virgin park spot near me that must've been overlooked all these years. Newer technology also helped me. A lot of my other silvers came from a very pounded Pittsburgh park this year. I do quite a bit of historic map research, meeting with other detectorists and talking to locals. I also door knock some. I'm in a detecting club in Beaver County and have made some good connections there. It's a great group of guys and gals. You should join us sometime! http://www.beavercountydetectingclub.com

congrats on hitting 100 silvers now the rest is gravy:D

Thanks brncofan! I've slowed down quite a bit since hitting 100. I'm in the middle of big life changes right now (divorce, buying a house, sick mother with cancer, etc.) and dealing with crappy weather. I dug #122 FTY the other day. It was just a Rosie but it was still thrilling to see silver in the hole!

Congrats on the 100, I saw that coming , you were tearing it up down in the burgh.lol..Time to hit the rivers and cash some of that loot in!

Thanks Pete! I was actually at The Rivers on the night of the 4th to watch the fireworks. I resisted donating my money though!

Congrats on 100! That is an awesome achievement especially these days. I will be happy if I can even hit 50. HH & GL!
