I reached my goal of 100 silvers FTY!

Congrats on 100 silvers for the year...that's incredible! If you keep up the pace it looks like you're on track for a 300+ year:shock:

That's a great 4 month total! Wish my silvers came out nice like yours, they really are worth keeping when they look that nice.

At the rate your goin it may be very possible to end the year with 200-250 silvers
Keep hitting that virgin spot. I'm sure there are many more waiting to be unearthed

You’re absolutely killing it WO!

Thanks! It's been a fun year so far!

Congrats on the outstanding accomplishment of achieving the century mark with those FTY silvers! You NOXed it out of the park for sure!

Thanks JAK! The Nox has been good to me for the most part.:D

Your a beast.lol..Congrats on all those silvers, man your just having a good time out there.

Thanks Pete! It has been a lot of fun digging so many keepers in one spot. It's like a garden of coins.

Congrats on 100 silvers! Hope for a few hundred more.

Thank you! I also hope for a few hundred more!

Thank you Toad! 300 would be awesome but I'm not sure I can keep up this pace without another virgin spot.

Mon O maN!

I'm pretty surprised myself!

Thanks OBN! Most of the silvers from this spot are decent looking. However, the ones that are toasted are REALLY toasted.

Wow that’s impressive congrats on the work you must have put in digging all those holes!

Thank you! My body is hating all of those holes I dug!

That’s awesome! Especially this early in the year! Congrats on 100!

Thank you Rattlehead! Your videos were a big help when I was getting started with the Nox.

I would love to double my total! The grass has gotten kind of high at this spot but once they cut it I'm going to hit it hard again. There has to be more there masked by the sea of pull tabs and beaver tails!

Big congrats on the impressive milestone! That "honey hole" has served you well; producing over 50 silvers...so far. Nice Barber too btw.
:surfin:

Thank you Foragist! It has been a great spot that keeps on giving. The Barber was very surprising to find there.

That's awesome! Do you remember your first silver?

Thank you! I always remember my first silver ever. It was a war nickel I found at my church. As a result, I get a little extra excited when I dig one to this day. Some folks hate them and don't even count them as silvers but I love them.:D

Fred, Again a major ATTABOY and a big slap on the back for hitting 100 already this year. I know you tell everybody you're just lucky but watching you work, your patience and tenacity says a lot as well. And thanks again for sharing your spot with me, I had a great hunt as well and look forward to another soon. Maybe that old park next time. Whats next ? 200 by Aug. lol. Take care. HH Mark

Thanks Mark! It was great having there to witness my milestone. I'm glad you were able to get on some silver as well! I'd love to give your old park spot a try sometime soon. 200 by August would be awesome but I don't tolderate heat too well so the hunting is going to taper off some. 150 by August would be a good goal for me I'm thinking.:D Hope to hunt with you again soon!

I never thought I would have reached my goal this early in the year. Thanks to a virgin park spot I found, I was able to boost the silver totals early. After talking to some older locals, I found out that this spot was used for San Rocco festivals from the 40s until the 60s.

I hit my honey hole on Monday and made a push for 100 but fell short of my goal by 3. However, I made a totally unexpected find in this site littered with modern silver. A 1908 Barber quarter that was buried no deeper than all of the other coins at this site. I'm thinking someone may have grabbed it from their dad's collection back in the 50s or 60s and dropped it. Who knows?

Yesterday I felt was going to be the day. Markinswpa came out to join me for a honey hole hunt and also let me try out his 6" Nox coil. After digging 20+ rusty nails the sounded and ID'd like silver dimes, I put the stock coil back on. Mark mentioned that he felt the separation on the 6" was about the same as the stock coil. I have to agree with him on that. The stock coil went back on my machine and then it was game on. I started digging wheats and clad with less nails being dug. I also managed to find the 3 silvers I needed to reach 100 in short order. Mark was there to see the reveal of #100 and took some pictures. I shot a video of it as well. Thanks for being a part of my milestone and letting me borrow your 6" coil buddy!

Just for the heck of it I was curious how many wheats I dug in relation to the silvers. As of yesterday I have found 245 2/3 wheats. I snapped a quick pic of them after counting. Sorry I didn't take a pretty pic of my silvers all laid out as they're all in 2x2's for keeping track of my finds better this year.

Thanks for looking and HH!

Thanks! By "cooked" parks I assume you mean parks that have been hammered to death? I do a fair amount of hunting in parks like that and find a decent amount of silver. My best hunt this year was a 10 silver hunt at a pounded park. I like to mix it up and hunt public spots and private permissions.

My 800 is setup according to the spot I'm hunting. Trashy spot? I accept only nickels and copper pennies and higher, park 1, 5 tones, iron bias 0, recovery 8. Not so trashy spot? I accept target IDs 2 and up, park 1, 5 tones, iron bias 0, recovery 6 (or 3 if targets a sparse). These are the settings that have been working for me. Your results may vary for any number of reasons/factors.

Wow thats incredible. You're averaging over 25+ silver every month! You must have some fantastic spots. Now that you removed the overburden of silver go after that gold!

Congrats and HH!

Very awesome Wave!!!! Congrats on the century mark ALREADY!!!!

Thank you Worm! It's been totally unexpected!

Quick run to 100, very nice!!!

Thank you! The honey hole and pounded city park really helped with the quick run.

Thanks! I figure there has to be some gold somewhere at my honey hole if people lost that much change and with a sports field being right there. I've been starting to clear out all signals in small sections at a time. The amount of beaver tails, pull tabs and screw caps are incredible at this spot!
