First coin from coinstar!

KT gets a lot of Mex coins from his bank's machine...not coinstar brand, but it has a magnet at the top of the drop hole....you would be surprized that no one, even the bank employee's ever seem to check it and clean it off! To bad gold and silver ain't magnetic!!!

Another Coinstar find..

I've been away from detecting for about a year, my ETrac, AT Pro, and two Garrett ACE units have sat quietly in the corner closet...

Last weekend while running into a store my oldest son (18) saw some coins sitting on a local coinstar machine and snagged them.. minutes later he discovered a nice 1859 Indian Head.. !

Of course just finding it he now states "can we get back into detecting again and go out sometime.." snow on the ground and temps in the single digits here in NY will keep us from doing so, but we will have to get out..

Sorry to thread jack.. I just thought this was a nice find as well as the OP..
