Everyone in Michigan

Greetings from Macomb, MI. Anyone nearby still looking for someone to hunt with? Any local posts I saw were over a month old.

I just ordered an AT Pro and ProPointer....hoping I chose a good one for my first hunting experiences. Any tips?
Yeah.....invite me over. I'll be just on the the other side of the freeway from you tomorrow morning. Seriously.

You are planning on land hunting first aren't you? I'd be able to meet you at the old school south of town for a hunt sometime (not tomorrow).

well i have an interesting place to metal detect for you michigan guys if you would like to join me. I will be getting my first detector by the end of the week. this place I am refering to is heritage park in taylor michigan. which over the past couple decades has has ALOT of construction done, this place houses a small lake with old historical building around it and, the they added 6 baseball fields and numerous other stuff. it also has a big network of trails through thick woods. a great place to start for us beginners. I have been doing research non stop since I have bought this detector on history and where were things compared today and chances are we would find some good things here. and also they have hosted 4th of july carnival numerous of times and other activites. let me know if you guys would be interested.

sorry for my grammar in previous post i took my sleeping pill and i should have gone to bed a half hour ago lmao

Cool sounds good!! I will be getting my detector today should be waiting on my porch when I get off of work, I will take the rest of this week combing my yard an te small park that's by my house to get familiar with the detector. And I plan on hitting heritage park either Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. My email is [email protected] if you would like to setup a time to meet up at the park this weekend. Btw what kind of detector did you get?

I am waiting for a Garrett AT Pro to be delivered. I found an old hidden cemetery and think it might be a good place to hunt. Several ghost towns in the Grayling area too. Did yours come yet?

Search for threads that can give you some tips. I have a list of do's and dont's.

Yes I mt was waiting for me when I got home from work. I followed the instructions and put it together. And went the the are and started looking. Right from the start I got numerous hits and for awhile I didn't find anything. But I learned the I wasn't making the holes as big a the coil and not properly interpreting how deep the object was which killed a lot of time learning the mistake. So my suggestion to you is buy a short shovel and don't be bashf on making your hole big when getting used to pinpointing unless you you a pin pointer which seems to make life so much easier to the ppl I see on YouTube lol. But I learned a lot yesterday and am now ready to scout heritage park which I am going to dO after work since I work down the street. But I am very interested in those ghost town you mentioned could you send me more info on locations and any other tips, dos an donts that you have found to my email. And let me know when you get your detector I would enjoy having someone to learn how to detect with!

Also I will report my findings tonight I'm sooo excited going to concentrate on the wooden trails and shallot creeks today
