Dutchess County NY

Thank you Walt, for putting this together! This has been the longest winter for me without detecting. Looking forward to hunting with y'all tomorrow.

My sentiments exactly Walt !! Was great meeting and hunting with all of you!! First time I ever hunted with more than two other people in over forty years of digging and I did enjoy it immensely. Maybe it's just my old loner outlook wearing off, or maybe it's just that I never knew that many other hunters, but I had fun.

Hello from upstate

Love reading about your hunts and willing to travel to come meet some new people and go on some adventures if your setting up a hunt I would be interested to join if possible next time.

So yesterday I decided to try out my detector in the yard here is what I found thus far.

1 aluminum pull tab
4 screws
2 Y1999 pennies
lots of aluminium wrappers
and a heart pendant with sapphires

Hey guys Sean here i am also a relic hunter and got my first silver item of 2014 last week and bunch of other things !! I would love to set up a hunt anybody want to talk shot me a pm !!!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a location?

Hi Guys,

I'm new to Metal Detecting and live in the Fishkill area. I just recently got an Ace 350 for my birthday. I'd be interested in joining you guys on a hunt, as long as you don't mind having a beginner with you.

I've been out twice so far in the park next to my house. I found a 1966 Nickel, a 1982 Penny, plenty of bottle caps and pull tabs, a broken fishing reel and some Poison Ivy!

Welcome Mark! I wouldn't mind having you along, it is just a matter of finding the time! I don't run Garretts though so we may want to get someone along that uses those to help you out. In the meantime Youtube can be a big help in learning your new detector.
