I am in Indiana for a long weekend and volunteered to look for my daughter in law Trish's mom's gold class ring that she lost fifty years ago. After a few pieces of junk I hit a 30-31 on the Equinox and said "This isn't a gold ring but I'm digging it." I dug a wider plug than usual to be safe and sure enough, saw that big reeded rim pop out - 1923 Peace dollar in nice shape, my first. I got to fondle it for a minute or two then handed it to Trish's dad - he believes it was his father's. A few feet away I found a Buffalo, and ended up popping two rings but not the class ring, so maybe on my next visit I'll find it. Also a pendant from the local high school that Trish's aunt must have lost. Anyway, hopefully club membership is based on finding a silver dollar, not on keeping it!
