AT PRO DOWN What would you do?

My AT Pro, works fine. But I don't run it in water either.
too_
I don't normally do water, but I'm heading home this summer to try my luck at finding two lost rings in 2 separate swimming areas. I know the chance of finding them is slim, (50 years lost) but hey you never know..

So I shipped out the control box, stock 8 1/2x11DD coil and headphones . Got a package today :) so 12 days total including down time for the NY holiday. When they called me they informed me that it showed signs of water intrusion and circuit board would need to be replaced. They also said my coil wasn't reading within spec. I opted to not replace coil as I never used it anyway. They said they checked headphones and they were fine. So total bill including return shipping was $140$ not too bad and absolutely worth it to save the machine. Here's the best part though. When I received it today they sent me a complete NEW housing assembly and a brand New 8 1/2"x11" DD Coil. screws and coil bolt. So basically now everything is new except the shaft and headphones which now work perfect again. I wish Garrett would get a new competitive machine out because you absolutely can not beat their customer support. The AT pro will now be my backup for my kids to use when they come for a visit.

Garrett has great customer support 2nd to none, that I have used over the years.

Check out Digger Dawn's latest video on YouTube. She said Garrett is releasing a new detector in 2024. No further info but a great teaser.
