Amazing Silver Find At the Beach

WOW!! Sweet coin! You said "low tide", so I guess it was out in the wet/hard pack. This beach near SLO Town somewhere?? Sure came out in great condition!

It is near San luis but I won't say where cause I'm going back lol

Yup. The beaches here leave silver in amazing condition. I'm hoping to find some more tommorrow. I'm surprised that some coins like this still exist. Union oil polluted all the land that the town was on and tore the entire town down and rebuilt it and cleaned it up. Enough soil to fill 40 football fields 60 feet high was removed. So I'd think all these coins were carried off

Cool. Basically the beach I found this on was used extensively during the early half of the 1900 ' s by families of standard oil employees and fisherman. It was also the only recreational beach fir soldiers from camp San luis and camp Roberts as well as one more I cannot remember. At least according to what my grandfather said.

Like I said only a native would know the beach really. I was born in San luis and have lived her almost all of my life. It's nice and quiet and I can metal detect everyday.

Great Find! I've only found 2 silver dimes ever so far. I did find a Silver Bracelet and silver ring. But yeah man that coin is great! CHU!
